Today, Tay Ninh is delighted to join Sorbitol France-Vietnam Joint Stock Company (SOFAVI) in holding the Relaunch Ceremony of Vietnam’s first and only Sorbitol production plant.
This is not only a meaningful event for the company itself, but also an important milestone for the development of processing industries, biochemical industries, and the agricultural value chain of Tay Ninh in this new stage.
We highly appreciate the efforts of PSD Group, the leadership of Sorbitol France-Vietnam Joint Stock Company (SOFAVI), as well as all managers, engineers, and workers who persevered through numerous challenges to revive the plant after the severe impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and market fluctuations.
The official restart of the plant today demonstrates the determination and resilience of Vietnamese enterprises in mastering technology, restoring production, and gradually integrating more deeply into domestic and international supply chains.
Tay Ninh has consistently identified processing industries, high-tech industries, green industries, and the sustainable development of agricultural value chains as strategic priorities in attracting investment and driving local economic growth.
Within this direction, Sorbitol France-Vietnam Joint Stock Company (SOFAVI) is considered a project of special significance, as it not only creates industrial value but also contributes to enhancing the value of Vietnamese cassava, promoting the development of raw material regions, creating jobs for workers, and making positive contributions to the local budget.
The province highly appreciates SOFAVI’s development orientation toward a modern, highly automated, environmentally friendly, and sustainable production model. This direction is also aligned with Vietnam’s current strategies for green industrial development, circular economy growth, and strengthening self-sufficiency in production capacity.
We especially recognize the company’s ambition to gradually master the chemical and pharmaceutical value chain, aiming toward domestic Vitamin C production from Sorbitol. This vision carries major significance for raw material security and the long-term development of Vietnam’s biochemical industry.
The leadership of Tay Ninh is committed to continuing to support and create favorable conditions for businesses to develop in a stable and sustainable manner. At the same time, we hope that Sorbitol France-Vietnam Joint Stock Company (SOFAVI) will continue investing in technological innovation, enhancing its competitiveness, and expanding both domestic and international markets, thereby contributing to the development of Tay Ninh as an attractive destination for processing industries and high-tech industries in the years ahead.
